Pari Dukovic is a New York-based photographer of Greek descent whose wide-ranging practice is informed by a fascination with historical painting and sculpture. His colorful and atmospheric portraits appear regularly in The New Yorker, where he was appointed the magazine’s youngest ever staff photographer in 2013.
Born and raised in Istanbul, Pari was captivated by photography at a young age after being given a camera by his father. Upon graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006, he moved to New York to pursue a career in photography. Pari's informal documentary style of image-making, rigorous technical training and art history background remain distinct characteristics of his work today.
Pari works across the genres of portraiture, fashion, beauty and documentary photography for magazines including Vanity Fair, Time, New York, W Magazine, GQ, Rolling Stone, Wired, The New Yorker, WSJ Magazine, M le magazine du Monde and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin. Pari also collaborates with commercial clients such as Chanel, Rag & Bone, Nike, Dior, W Hotels and MAC Cosmetics.
